The original conception and working out of aninvention is usually a labor of love on the part ofthe inventor: having perfected his invention inevery detail, he finds able and skilled counselwaiting to prepare and prosecute his applicationfor patent before the Patent Office Examiner.When the patent is allowed or issued, the patentee'sreal work begins—that of turning the patentinto money. This is the business end of the inventor'swork, which is generally to his interestfinancially to undertake himself, or to have underhis immediate supervision.
The object of this little work, based upon theexperience and observation of the author andother successful inventors, is to give the patenteesuch information and advice as will enable him toproceed more intelligently, on the most successfuland economical basis, to realize from his invention.
