PREFACE
In this volume the authors have attempted to laybefore the Motion-Picture Operators and TheatricalEmployes generally, a reference and handbook makinga specialty of electrical requirements about theaters.
A working knowledge of electricity in general isassumed, and therefore elementary ideas have beentreated sparingly. A specialty, however, has beenmade of all matters peculiar to theaters, and it isthought that theater electricians will find in this volumeeverything that they need whether they be operatingmotion-picture machines or switchboards infirst-class houses.
